Holmdel, New Jersey's Abandoned Bell Labs : The Idea Factory

The Bell Labs Holmdel Complex, designed by Eero Saarinen, was a renowned research and development facility for Bell Telephone. It featured a mirrored glass exterior and a cross-shaped atrium where thousands of researchers worked. Notable achievements at Bell Labs included Nobel Prize-winning discoveries in laser technology and the Big Bang theory. Despite plans to demolish the complex, it was ultimately preserved and renovated into Bell Works, now housing businesses and public amenities.
